FAQs
Will i cry?
Haha! You might and if you do it’s okay. A helpful thing to know here is that physiologically when all parts of you are on board (which I will help you with) to feel and release an emotion, it only has a life cycle of 90 seconds or less.

Is this meditation?
No. If anything it is a practice of focus, so in that way it is similar to certain types of meditation I suppose but this is far more active and exploratory. It can certainly have similar results for some people like an increased level of inner calm and a greater acceptance of what IS.
Can this be done in addition to therapy?
Absolutely! I would never tell anyone not to continue something if it’s working for them, and what we do here can only deepen any psychological work you’ve been doing or are currently doing because it is essentially a way of getting to know and love yourself more fully.
What can i do to prepare?
Sure I would say number one, try to come to the session with an open, curious mindset and be willing to play around with what comes up for you. Sometimes the subconscious speaks to us in bizarre imagery/sensations/emotions/thoughts so I would recommend being as non-judgemental towards that as you can be. Oh, and wear comfy clothes! (That’s also my advice for literally any event you attend in life;)
And remember, you are not a problem to be fixed! This is a practice aimed at radically accepting what is present in your system, and learning some tools to effectively shift whats not useful for what you want to create in your life today. We are going to simply BE with what arises and watch as it leaves of it’s own accord. When the body feels safe, the mind comes up with all kinds of elegant solutions to problems that may have felt insurmountable before.
